The pairing slowly gained more of a following over time the majority of the fic was written by the same authors, but there was an abundance of it, especially of the smutty variety. Niles/Male Corrin and Leo/Takumi were much more popular, but fans still became enamored of Leo and Niles's supports and the Loyalty Kink themes within. Niles/Leo began as something of a rare pair, known as "ZeroLeon" before the localized names were announced. Leo is shown to become slightly irritated by Niles's lack of regard for personal space in some cutscenes, but only enough to warrant a mild scolding. Niles, normally a foul-mouthed cynic who makes sadistic comments in many of his supports, shows a rare vulnerable and honest side when he speaks to Leo, and the standoffish Leo is warmer and more open with Niles, even allowing the outlaw to call him by only his name in their last support. The two have a very close and intimate relationship considering the class difference between the two. Instead, Leo asked Niles to become his retainer, and Niles has sworn his absolute devotion ever since that night. Devastated at being abandoned by the group he'd basically considered his family, Niles asked Leo to kill him. The two met when Niles attempted to break into Krackenburg castle with a group of thieves, who used him as a decoy and left him to be caught when things turned sour. Leo is the youngest prince of Nohr, with Niles as his loyal retainer.

Please understand.Niles/Leo is a ship in the Fire Emblem Fates fandom. I tried to keep as much of the original text and lore as possible while incorporating the new material, however there may be a few areas where things conflict. IMHO, these changes bring new life to the character's motivation in the Conquest path which are borne throughout to the very end of the game. Many interactions with the Hoshidan and Nohrian siblings were also altered to give the player character more of a voice and to flesh out the world.
Fire emblem fates leo mod#
This Conquest route mod seeks to fix this by transforming the pivotal role of King Garon from a cartoonishly evil caricature into a King loyal to Nohr who is slowly losing his mind. The most egregious example of this is King Garon, who is just awfully written. I expected an obvious Good vs Evil scenario between the kingdoms, but even when you choose to follow Nohr, no effort was made to make them sympathetic. For something that claimed to speak to the grey nature of war, there was very little substance given to the Nohrians. Like many people, I was disappointed in the narrative given in Fire Emblem Fates.
